They do have a lot of great covers. Love the Coo Coo Song, Prettiest Thing, Clay Pigeons, etc. That would be a cool album.
I often thought they could cover Copperhead Road by Steve Earle really well. Maybe Willie. Tequila Sunrise by the Eagles.
Others people's songs?
Re: Others people's songs?
Here are songs they could cover and do better than any of there songs in my opinions.
Hello - Adele
Honytonk Pudonkadonk - Luke Bryan
Hello - LOionel Richie
Telephone line - Electric Light Orchestra
Patches - Clarence Carter.
any more?

Well, I think those songs would be fun in concert.

I love me some ELO. Never turn it when it comes on. Strange Magic was one of my first 45's.

That's pretty cool. Have you seen the doc "Mr. Blue Sky?"
Really boosted my appreciation for JL.
I went and saw them like my fourth concert ever and then the next time they came around I got all my friends to go because of the whole "Spaceship" light show.
However, by then they had changed their name to just "ELO" and had a weak stage show. The only cool thing was that Hall & Oates opened and had G.E. Smith and T-bone Wolk in the band.
I became an instant fan where I was definitely not before.

I saw quite a few Hall and Oats shows with that G.E. Smith and T-bone Wolk band. It would be hard to walk away unimpressed.

Seth should sing Dancing Fool by Frank Zappa, the title also really fits him.
Singer/Songwriter, Guitar/Banjo/Drums/Bass/Piano.

Act Naturally - Buck Owens (and later Ringo)
Every time I hear this, I swear I can hear their voices singing it.
It is a fun song and I think they would do it very, very well!

Act Naturally is probably the best suggestion so far.
Definitely in their wheelhouse.

I would love to hear them do REM's Fall On Me, with Seth singing the Michael Stipe part and Scott singing Mike Mills' part. I love it when Seth sings in his lower range and the harmonies would be fantastic.
