As topic, first band I saw live was motorhead in 1980, seen them a couple of times since, probably why I have tinnitus now. RIP Lemmy
Also seen...
Madness (many times)
Rolling Stones (supported by J Geils band)
Travis
The Vaccines
Mumford and sons
Oasis (many times)
Sex Pistols (filthy lucre tour, not the early pistols)
Ian Dury and the block heads
Catatonia
Aswad
Kaiser chiefs.
The Buzzcocks.
Stereophonics.
Edit,
David Gray
Maximo park
The Unthanks was the last gig I went to, look them up for some classy UK folk.Local band for me too. Probably some more but I am getting forgetful in my old age!
Got tickets for Gregory Porter, Stereophopnics and obviously the Avett Brothers for later this year, love having gigs to look forward too, there is something about live music.
Wish I had seen the Beatles pre the psychedelic stuff.

Re: Other bands you have seen?
I once went to see Old Crow Medicine Show and the Lumineers opened for them and it was before Ho Hey charted on billboard so not everyone really knew who they were, also the Milk Carton Kids opened for Old Crow.Old Crow was absolutely amazing live.
I also saw Zac Brown Band live but that was only because The Avett Brothers opened for them.
Chicago / Earth, Wind, & Fire
The Beach Boys
The Black Eyed Peas (It was a dark time for me)
I've seen these bands open for The Avett Brothers:
Chris Robinson Brotherhood
Hot Tuna
Shovels & Rope
John Prine
Nicole Atkins
Jill Andrews
Connor Kennedy & Minstrel
Buffalo Stack

Where are you based,UK? They are touring to promote their new album, I have seen them before at the Newcastle arena,Kelly jones sounds even better live than on recording, a bit like the Avetts.

Nope I live in North Carolina. The Avett's home state. I have been a live music junkie since seeing The Dave Clark Five when I was ten. I expect I see well over 100 live sets a year. As far as I know the Stereophopnics have never played a show within 100 miles of me.

Blimey, that dates you! The London shows are 350 miles from here but only 3 hrs on the train. I have not been to London for years.I have been a live music junkie since seeing The Dave Clark Five when I was ten.

David Wax Museum
On a whim, decided to go see whatever band was playing at Port City Music Hall in Portland, ME, since I was in town for vacation. Absolutely love them.
