Re: Other bands you have seen?
I've seen more than 100 shows in my life, since starting as a boy (not a lot for quite a few folks, I know, but still significant for me). This year we hit a new level...finally saw our first Avetts show despite being a big fan for a decade. We also saw:
- DMB (6x this year alone...so far...my wife's favorite band)
- Toad the Wet Sprocket (seeing again next weekend)
- Barenaked Ladies
But here's some of the others we've seen and loved:
- Nickel Creek 2015
- James Taylor (2x) mid-late '90s
- Ani DiFranco (4x) mid- '90s to early 2000s
- Tedeschi Trucks Band 2014
- The Police reunion tour 2007
- Pink Floyd '87
- Dire Straits '85/6
- Yes (2x) '87 and '94
- Sarah McLachlan (3x) '94 (2x) and 2015
- Rush '90
- Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals 2015
- Neil Young 2008
- SRV '90
- Paul McCartney '90
- Dream Theater (4x) early '90s
- John Hammond, Jr. (4x) '80s and '90s
- Big Head Todd and the Monsters (2x) '94 and '95
- Zappa Plays Zappa 2008
- Third World mid '80s
- CSN '90
- Suicidal Tendencies (2x) '88 and '90
- Clapton '92
- The Who '89
- Billy Joel '90
I keep track of this stuff and have a complete list in a Google doc...always updating.
Hoping to see more DMB and Avetts this year, as well as Ian Moore, Michael Franti, and anyone else of interest that pops up.

Re: Other bands you have seen?
I’ve seen hundreds, but the ones I’m most proud of (besides the Avetts) are probably the Pixies and Tenacious D, oh and Weird Al, twice.
