Obviously everything they've ever written is amazing and speaks to me on a different level, but my top 3 (I can't just pick one!) are:
1. Oh my love, but we are bound to die. -Sanguine
2. You're eveyrthing I dream. -November Blue
3. She said don't you call me your mountain girl. I said don't bother me I'm trying to write and don't worry you ain't my mountain girl. -Tale of Coming News

Re: Favorite Avett Lyrics
I think every line in Laundry Room is pure genius specifically the line "Stop your sister's car I just saw a shooting star, we can wish upon it and we wont share the wish we made" and then he goes and tells her anyways "But I can't keep no secret I wish that you will always stay" I think that is adorable. Also at the end where they go "I am a breathing time machine I'll take you all for a ride" and they transition into an old time bluegrass jam giving "breathing time machine" a double meaning of young love and bluegrass revivalism.

Re: Favorite Avett Lyrics
Aghhh! So hard to choose just one... I have a top four!!
1. 'Always remember there was nothing worth sharing, like the love that let us share our name' - Murder in the City
2. 'I wondered what my dad would say.. He said, I love you and I'm proud of you both, in so many different ways' - Murder in the City
3. 'Wouldn't it be fine to stand behind the words we say at the best of times' - Life
4. 'I remember crying over you, and I don't mean like a couple of tears and I'm blue. I'm talking about collapsing and screaming at the moon, but I'm a better man for having gone through it - Tear Down The House
I think Murder in the City is just such a beautiful, meaningful, brilliant song! Been on repeat for a few weeks now

Re: Favorite Avett Lyrics
So many that I agree with have been posted! Here's a few of my favorites:
"Everyone I know out here is lonely, even those who have someone to lie beside at night."
"When I was young, I knew most everything."
"If your love laughs at your dreams, well it's not as bad as it seems. Either way, one of them has got to go."
"With Lucifer beneath you and God above, if either one of them asks you what you're living of, say 'Love.'"
"When I drink, I spend the next morning in a haze. But we only get so many days ... now I have one less."
"I'm yours and that's it, forever."
"So if ever someone one says to you, 'Life isn't fair, get used to it.' Then you should say 'Well it might be if folks like you would let it be.'"

From the east it comes,
Her love and the rising sun
Her love and the rising sun
Re: Favorite Avett Lyrics
From live and die
All it will take is
just one moment and
you can say goodbye to
how we had it planned
Fear like a habit,
run like a rabbit out and away.
Through the screen door
to the unknown.
You and I, we're the same.
Live and die, we're the same.
Hear my voice, know my name,
you and I, we're the same.
All it will take is
just one moment and
you can say goodbye to
how we had it planned
Fear like a habit,

From the Lowering:
So if ever someone says to you
"Life isn't fair, get used to it"
Then you should say
"Well it might be
If folks like you would let it be"
From Pretty Girl at the airport:
Wish me luck I know you think I'll need it
For all the hardest roads we have to walk alone
But everyone I know out here is lonely
Even those that have someone to lie beside at night
So if ever someone says to you
"Life isn't fair, get used to it"
Then you should say
"Well it might be
If folks like you would let it be"

"I have some "friends" they don't know who I am
So I write quotations around the word friends
But I have a couple that have always been there for me"....from All My Mistakes
"Can you say your name to me, put mine after yours?
Can we build a house of glass without windows or doors?
Will you learn to love yourself the way I know you should?
Will we find the courage there to call our friendship good?".....Die The Grow
"And most of us out there got fooled
Cause the gold it glittered in the night
We chased it fast like drunk buffoons
The banker lived the artist died".....Apart From Me
"Thirty days alone with the savior
An angel, a devil, rapture and smoke".....PGF Locust
I could go on but Ill stop there....way too many to list.

I will rearrange my plans and change for you.
Stop your parents car, I just saw a shooting star. We can wish upon it, we won't share the wish we made. But I can't keep no secrets, I wish that you would always stay.
I have got a sister and she has got a baby with brand new eyes. And her daddy is an engineer, and they just took her to the sea for the first time.
I want to have friends that I can trust, that love me for the man I've become not the man that I was.
